ALBORZ Province

Alborz Province it one of the 31 provinces of Iran, centered in Karaj and was formed due to Tehran Provincial divisions into two provinces, by Parliamentary approval on June 23,2010 and was introduced as 31st province of Iran. Situated northwest of Tehran, the Alborz Province is situated 35 km west of Tehran, at the foothills of the Alborz mountains, and is Iran’s smallest province in terms of area. Karaj has been hosting communities since 3000 years BC. The Xurvin region of Karaj has been inhabited since the Bronze Age, and the Kelak region on the left bank of Karaj River since the Iron Age.

Shah Abbasi Caravansary

Shah Abbas Caravanserai is a rocky-brick building dating back to die Safavid era, located in Karaj. The Caravanserai was built between 1078 and 1109 during Safavid Shah Suleiman. Shah Abbasi Caravanserai is located in Silk Road. At the beginning of the Caravanserai building, there was a resting place for caravans and their horses and camels, but in the beginning of the Qajar period it became a military barracks or military fortress, and was used as a school in die late Qajar period (known as Falahat). In the construction of this building, stone, brick, wood and chamotte have been used.

Dizin Ski Resort

Dizin Ski resort is one of the most important ski resorts of Iran and Middle East. It is located in the heights of Alborz province. Dizin is considered as the first ski facility that has been approved by the International Ski Federation to hold world competitions. Surrounded by its mountains, the region of Dizin is located in Alborz province. Since it is only one hundred and twenty-three kilometers distant from Tehran, not very far from the capital, and along the route from Tehran to Chalus, it has gained the attention of both professional athletes and those interested in skiing as a hobby. Dizin resort began working in 1969 after the installation of the first accelerator devices. Later four chair lifts facilitated the travels of the athletes between its twenty-three ski routes. Some of the most known routes of Dizin are Snow Park, beginners’ routes and grass skiing route. It is to be noted that this busy resort is seven and half kilometer long, the most upper point being two thousand and six hundred and fifty meters higher than sea level.

Pars Aqua Village

Pars water village is an indoor water pool serving all four seasons which can be used by men and women separately. This park is the largest indoor water park in the Middle East which has been established with the latest technology of the world and international standards in a 14 thousand square meter area, and has been accepting the enthusiasts since March 15th, 2011.

(Aderan Waterfall (Arangeh

Aderan Bending Waterfall on Karaj-Chalous Road is located in the geographical location in Alborz Province. Haft Cheshmeh Waterfall (meaning Seven Springs) is near Karaj- Chalus Road and close to Arangeh Village. It is considered a tourist attraction area. Both waterfalls and the whole area is a very pleasing and interesting place for tourism. Haft Cheshmeh Waterfall is the Nearest tourist attractions to the Aderan Waterfall.
